How can one go beyond awareness and consciousness?

Our awareness and consciousness is just that: it is simply there. We are immersed in it; only that we are not aware of it. It does not mean that our realm is limited.

This is not something that can be understood by attending a class on awareness and consciousness, and how to go beyond it. It is also not something that can or should be accepted, because acceptance is a form of defeat which is negative. So it is neither an understanding nor an acceptance. There are no 10 easy steps that one will find in Cosmopolitan magazine to widen one’s horizons about awareness and consciousness.

The way to go about being aware of consciousness is this. Stop living in and being ruled by the five senses; stop catering to the five senses. When we cross that sensory stage and move into the awareness stage, the sixth sense takes over—the instinct, our gut feeling, intuition or whatever else we want to call it. So stop pandering to the five senses and move into that sixth sense

Next, stop living in the three selves—the emotional, the physical and the mental. Let the fourth self, which is the spiritual self, take over. Be for everyone what everyone needs you to be. Lower the walls of caution or open that door and step out of the box. When we do that, we will stop worrying about what people think of us; what image do we project to the world; are we important to our families…

What is important? Nothing is. When we become aware that nothing is important, then we stop living in the five senses and the three selves. We let the sixth sense take over, and we exist in the fourth self. When we live like that, there is no need to go beyond awareness and consciousness, for everything just is!
