Do different people have different stages of consciousness?

Everybody has the same universal spirit and yet it seems that everybody is at different stages of consciousness. The reason for this being that we all identify ourselves as somebody with a distinct personality; we don’t consider all of  us to be one. The day we realize that we are all the same, and when we truly know it and don’t just try to believe it, we will understand that we all have the same consciousness. For example, we don’t look at a wall and say: I believe this is a wall. We know that this is a wall; it’s a certainty. Similarly, let’s not merely say that there is universal consciousness; let’s be aware that there is a universal consciousness and it is the same for everybody.

Moreover, this consciousness is not limited only to human beings. It is the same for humans, plants, animals, rocks, rivers, and everything else. There is a collective universal spirit and consciousness for everything, and we are merely a part of that everything. Science will have us believe that there cannot be life on mars because there is no air, no oxygen, no water. What we don’t realize is that what if there is a life form that does not need oxygen or air or water. We look at a rock and say it has no life because it doesn’t breathe. What if it is a form of life that doesn’t need to breathe. Why do we limit ourselves in our thinking?

Let’s get rid of our identities and be conscious of only one thing: that we are universal citizens. The universal consciousness is there already; we simply need to expand the sphere of our individual consciousness.
